Love the design and size. They look to be constructed by laminating a series of 3 layers together with a selected wood finish being the outermost layers. If you looking at the edges of the earrings you can see all the layers. The hearings are not crafted from a single piece of wood is all and I wasn't expecting that but I understand the reason for doing it in terms of durability and strength. That being said they are beautiful earrings and I really love them and would recommend them.
